Engineered

"That was fantastic"

submission: Engineered
date: June 6, 2006

This will most likely be on the front page.

It actually wasn't confusing for me at all at the beginning. For a minute there, at the end, I was wondering what was going on, but I got it. I thought it was very original, and I love science fiction, so this gets a 5 from me.

Deepspace.v.1.6.0

"Well, it's pretty....."

You need to do more with this. Nice graphics are not enough. It wasn't fun....and yes, I know how to "play" this. You drag the mouse and click on the stars.

Author's Response:

You apparently did not read the Description that fully explained the reason for lack of functionality here at Newgrounds. As well: It is not for play. The full program, which contains a menuing system as well as a database of 300 star-class objects, 50 Nebulae and 37 fully-interactive astrophysical demonstrations in exterior library files has been used by both JPL and NASA for two years to familiarize visitors with basic astrophysical phenomena and processes including, but not limited to; the Hertzsprung-Russell diagram of Main-Sequence Stars, Geometrodynamic principals of black holes and neutron stars and basic carbon-nitogen and proton-proton stellar nuclear cycles. You may count yourself as one of the 99% of the flash amateurs here that didn't appreciate the advanced actionscripting that is in evidence.

Metal Slog - #1

"You get bonus points for using Tool."

submission: Metal Slog - #1
date: February 22, 2006

Tool rocks, plus Schism is one of my favorite songs so audio gets a higher score. The action was decent, but you could have made it a bit longer. I hope the next ones are a little better.

"The space bar does work."

submission: FireWall

You just have to hold it down. I like your style. The music was cool, too. I think it would be better if those powerup items came along more often. (those green smiley things that help you out)

FULL DECK

"From now on,"

submission: FULL DECK

I recommend you get voice actors because that voice was awful. It sounded like a kid trying really hard to sound like he has a deep voice. The animation was alright, though.

Goomba Vol. 3

"Hey...."

submission: Goomba Vol. 3
date: January 23, 2006

you used the theme song from Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040. Are you a fan? Anyway, that was great, but I had a feeling you were going to use the Kill Bill theme, which is way overused. Other than that, it was funny and cool.

Author's Response:

Yeah, I actually intended it to be a sort of joke, because people complained about it in Vol. 2.

PALADIN episode 4

"I've been waiting...."

submission: PALADIN episode 4
date: January 19, 2006

and you didn't let me down. This is an awesome series. You seem to be doing a better job with each new submission. I like the detail in the scenery.

I have a few questions:

How many more episodes are there going to be before it ends? Have you thought about making a game out of this?
What band(s) did you get that music from?

And speaking of music, I think you should look into Symphony X for your future episodes. I think some of their songs would go well with the series.

GantZ - 27

"not bad"

submission: GantZ - 27
date: December 8, 2005

But you really need to work on the animation. It's all choppy. In parts, the characters didn't even move their legs to walk. Plus the art style could use some improvement. You should also look for voice actors. Overall, a pretty decent job. I really think you can do much better, though.

I still haven't seen Gantz, but I've really wanted to!

Demithyst Part 2

"nicely done."

submission: Demithyst Part 2
date: December 7, 2005

This is some good stuff. It reminds me of Broken Saints. You should make them longer, though, and put in a little more images. You linger on each image for a while. If only there were a web comic portal!

Author's Response:

Thanks. Part 3 is 05:30 (mm:ss) long, and moves more quickly. It's on my personal website already. Part 4 coming soon. Thanks again.
